School Policies & Guidelines
Life Guide Academy is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and academically focused environment. These guidelines ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Student Policies
At LGA, we believe in mutual respect and discipline. All students are expected to behave in a manner that contributes to a positive learning environment.
- Treat peers, teachers and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Maintain a quiet and focused demeanor during classroom instruction.
- Respect school property and the personal property of others.
- Disruptive behavior, vandalism, or insubordination will result in disciplinary action.
Consistent attendance is crucial for academic success. We believe learning is a continuous journey that requires daily commitment.
- Students must arrive on the school premises at least 10 minutes before the first bell.
- In case of absence due to illness or emergency, parents/guardians must notify the administration office by 9:00 AM.
- Unexcused absences or chronic tardiness may affect a student's academic standing.
LGA maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, harassment, and discrimination. Every student deserves dignity, encouragement, and equal opportunities to learn.
Any form of physical, verbal, or cyber-bullying will be immediately investigated. Students are encouraged to report any uncomfortable situations to a trusted teacher or counselor. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all, including girls and minority groups.
Integrity is one of our core values. We encourage honesty, responsibility, and ethical behavior in all academic pursuits.
- Cheating during examinations or quizzes is strictly prohibited.
- Plagiarism (submitting someone else's work as your own) will result in a failing grade for the assignment.
- Students are expected to collaborate ethically and submit original work that reflects their own understanding.
Students must adhere to the official LGA dress code to maintain a professional, education-focused environment.
Uniforms must be kept clean, neat and worn correctly at all times while on campus. Excessive jewelry, inappropriate accessories or alterations to the official uniform are not permitted.
Staff & Faculty Regulations
This section establishes the professional standards, responsibilities, rules, and expectations applicable to all teachers of LGA Private High School (Effective Academic Year 2026-2027).
All teachers are expected to perform their duties with honesty, punctuality, responsibility, professionalism, respect, and commitment to the academic development and well-being of students. Teachers are required to comply with the school's approved policies, procedures, academic requirements, attendance rules, examination regulations, and professional standards.
Failure to comply may result in appropriate administrative or disciplinary action, including applicable financial penalties where authorized by school policy.
3.1 Monthly Leave Entitlement
- Regular teachers are permitted four leave periods per month.
- Part-time teachers are permitted two leave periods per month.
- Leave is subject to prior approval and the operational requirements of the school. Any unused leave will expire at the end of the month.
3.2 Leave Request and Notification
- Inform the responsible person in advance whenever possible.
- Provide the reason and expected period of the leave.
- Coordinate to ensure assigned classes are properly managed.
- Update the official school WhatsApp group regarding approved absence.
3.3 Bereavement Leave
In the event of the death of a parent, sibling, or immediate family member living in the teacher's household, the teacher will be granted three days of leave. For a sibling not living in the household, one day is granted.
3.4 Medical & Wedding Leave
Medical Leave: Granted for serious illness or injury subject to approval. Teachers must not perform other office/school duties while on medical leave.
Wedding Leave: Three consecutive days for the teacher's own wedding. One day to attend an immediate family member's wedding.
Regular teachers are allowed a cumulative lateness threshold of 50 minutes per month. Part-time teachers are allowed 25 minutes. This provides flexibility for occasional delays, not permission to arrive late regularly.
If a teacher arrives more than 10 minutes late for any assigned period, they must provide an explanation to the responsible person.

An Examination Committee (3 Regular, 3 Part-Time teachers) coordinates exams. Question papers must be submitted 7 days prior. All materials are strictly confidential. Marking must be completed fairly within 15 days.
A penalty of Tk. 300 (or further action) applies for failing to complete exam duties or violating rules. Serious misconduct (e.g., question leakage, mark falsification) will result in severe disciplinary action.
Public & Professional Conduct

- Social media conduct must not damage the school's reputation, harm the community, or create professional conflicts.
Student Protection & Safeguarding
Teachers must protect students' safety and dignity. Physical punishment, abusive language, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior are strictly prohibited. Any concerns regarding abuse or safety must be reported immediately to the Principal.
All teachers have the right to be treated with dignity, fairness, respect, and professionalism. Teachers may raise concerns regarding leave, workload, treatment, and policy implementation.
Procedure: First discuss the matter with the responsible authority. If unresolved, submit a formal complaint to the Principal. All concerns will be reviewed fairly and confidentially based on facts and policies.
These rules are mandatory. Any alleged violation will be reviewed fairly, giving the teacher an opportunity to explain before disciplinary action is taken.
